  • In his designated witch's familiar appearance, he looked like a simple raven shifter, still maintaining the lusciously smooth and shiny black feathers, but his true age only showed through the whispy white hair and overgrown beard he sported in his human form. He was a magical creature that had been through a lot and many. Nicholaus Bram (just Bram in his raven form) is an accomplice to a purgatorial reaper. As the woman in question is classed as a fallen angel and lacks some of her angelic abilities, Bram comes along to offer his supernatural perception as compensation and his nanny services for the aforementioned woman's daughter.

    Personality: Very traditional and strict, intolerant of some of today's trends and also very prejudiced initially. He upholds concepts of the past, but is willing to change his standpoint for people he holds dear. Very critical and has a horrid temper. Snotty. Angry at the world. He needs to be taught tolerance and acceptance.

    Nicholaus Bram was born in the early 50s to an aristocratic family and thus he grew up to be suitably snobbish and arrogant. Much as he was good-looking growing up, his looks could hardly compensate for his horrid personality. He had more interest in material things than he did in love and kindness. He definitely didn't look forward to marriage. He wasn't emotionally mature enough at 20 to marry by love, so his marriage was a paid ordeal - his family wanted to connect to another, even wealthier family to expand their bloodline. Eleanora Balder was a very strict, mature woman and if there was anyone who could handle Nicholaus' temper, it was her. She could intellectually enslave him and soon, having gotten enough of his pathetically fragile domineering masculinity, she enslaved him physically too.
    Nicholaus discovered he had married a witch when he performed an ancient ritual on him and transformed him into a raven. The curse was Beauty and Beast-esque, but Nicholaus had no chance of reedeeming himself. The woman wanted to kill him in his raven form, but Nicholaus was saved by archangel Barachiel in his male human vessel when the angel took away Nicholaus' soul and decided to keep him around.
    Aiden, as Barachiel had called himself, was entitled to Nicholaus' soul and services, but he left the decision to Bram himself. The man chose to remain with the angel, fearing death. Instead of dying, he grew old miserably while watching the angel self-destruct.

    Throughout the years he's grown close to Raven and the immortal man is the closest thing Bram has to a son... or daughter.
